Jason E. Cohn, DO

Dr. Jason Cohn is a Long Island native and facial plastic reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Cohn has been awarded America’s Top Plastic Surgeon and Best Otolaryngologist in NY and PA. Dr. Cohn is an active member of the Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS) and the American Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) for which he serves on the Young Physicians committee. Expert education in facial plastic reconstructive surgery with emphasis on cosmetic and functional nasal surgery, and facial rejuvenation. In addition, Dr. Cohn is skilled in the removal of benign and malignant lesions of the entire body and restorative reconstruction. Dr. Cohn is an academician, widely published in world-renowned plastic surgery journals, conducting basic science research, and clinical trials for the advancement of the profession, and training our future generation of physicians. Dr. Cohn is lauded by his community and well respected by other physicians in many fields, including primary care, dermatology, and other plastic surgeons. Others frequently put their trust in him to not only carry out expert care, but to make patients feel comfortable, cared for, and heard. Dr. Cohn’s treatment philosophy focuses on providing comprehensive, evidenced-based care with full compassion and integrity. Experience & Knowledge

Education

During his facial plastics fellowship, Dr. Cohn trained under world-renowned surgeon Dr. Fred Stucker at Louisiana State University (LSU) and the VA Medical Center. During his residency in Philadelphia, Dr. Cohn learned to provide high quality voice and swallowing care under the direct of world renowned celebrity laryngologist Dr. Robert Sataloff at Drexel/Hahnemann University Hospital. Dr. Cohn treated complex maxillofacial traumas and advanced head and neck cancers at Einstein Medical Center.

Dr. Cohn has published over 80 peer-reviewed publications in prestigious medical journals and has written over 20 high-impact textbook chapters. Dr. Cohn serves as a reviewer on the editorial board of several journals including Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (the highest ranking international plastic surgery journal), Craniomaxillofacial Trauma and Reconstruction and Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Cohn was former academic faculty in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, Division of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery at LSU and the VA Medical Center. He is currently a clinical faculty member at the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine.
